YouTube For Business

You want engaging content, not an advertisement

YouTube has plenty of content being shared every day, and you probably already know that it can be difficult to stand out amongst the music, comedians, and other businesses. What you want to do is create engaging content that pertains to your niche, so that you reach people who are interested in your goods or services.

What you don’t want to do is create something that is boring and doesn’t push boundaries. You don’t want to create something offensive (be mindful of how fast things can spread on social media), but you do want something that’s different, that’s exciting, or that makes people laugh.

Target a video campaign with Google AdWords

Sometimes businesses find it difficult to get started on YouTube. A relatively simple answer to that problem is to use Google AdWords. Google AdWords has an option to advertise for videos, and it’s pretty efficient: You only have to pay if the viewer watches your video for more than five seconds.

So that way, you won’t be paying for people who actually aren’t interested in what you are trying to sell. That also means that it is critical to get the attention of the viewer in the first five seconds of the video—so keep that in mind!

Push people to your other social media

YouTube can be a powerful social media tool, but at the end of the day it is still a tool. That means you need to focus on finding ways to push people to your other social media such as Twitter and Facebook. You can do this by including links on your page, and even at the end of your video.
