Mantras To Boost Your Self-Confidence

Unless you’re unusually self-assured in your abilities, a little extra self-confidence is probably something you’d be happy to have.

In this article we present three useful confidence-boosting mantras from three well-known figures. Whether you choose to repeat these to yourself, or pin them up as a source of inspiration, they should hopefully bring some extra positivity into your life.

As well as sharing the mantras, we will tell you a little about their origins, and why the people who came up with them are people to believe in.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Who said it?

This mantra is attributed to Mahatma Gandhi, the famous Hindu who led India to independence. Gandhi’s birthday, the 2nd October, is celebrated in many countries worldwide as the “International Day of Non-Violence.”

“Never love anybody who treats you like you’re ordinary.”

Who said it?

This is a famous quotation from Oscar Wilde, renowned poet and author. Wilde’s life didn’t end well; According to Wikipedia, he died “destitute” after serving time in prison. In his short life, however, he gave the world such gifts as “The Importance of Being Earnest,” and “The Picture of Dorian Gray.”

This is a particularly good mantra for those times when you feel the world is wearing you down and you need the strength to be yourself.

“Don’t fall in love with potential.”

Who said it?

Danielle LaPorte, a famous Canadian author and motivational speaker, came up with this mantra.

LaPorte differs from the other two figures mentioned here for the simple reason that she’s still with us! Over 65,000 people follow her via social media, and Forbes recently described her as a “contrarian self-help guru.”

This is a great mantra for anyone struggling to find the confidence to turn dreams into reality.
