In one of the biggest IT/Tech trade events in Europe, MedPI 2014, starting tomorrow in Monaco, LG is going to reveal its new G Pad devices: G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1. Adding these three new tablets to its G Pad series is a great opportunity for LG to significantly expand LG's influence in the tablet market.
"Customers tell us that they want a wider range of devices that offer sizable screens without compromising portability. Unlike smartphones, tablets are not one size fits all. So we designed the G Pad Series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritize portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible. G Pad delivers on all counts," said Dr. Jong-Seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
What are the characteristics of the new G Pad Series tablets? G Pad 7.0 is designed to be held in one hand. This is LG's smallest tablet but it provides both power and portability. G Pad 8.0 is a mid-sized tablet that allows a great multimedia experience and very nice multitasking. G Pad 10.1 has the largest display and battery, and offers endless hours of fun and entertainment.
The tablets also incorporate LG's UX features like QPair 2.0 and Knock Code TM. QPair was firstly used in G Pad 8.3 but with this updated version users can easily connect to their Android smartphones via Bluetooth in order to receive notifications of calls and messages and now, to have the possibility to respond directly from the G Pad.
What is even more interesting is that the Knock Code TM feature allows users to power on and unlock their LG smartphones very easily, entering a personalized “knock” pattern on the display. You can use a sequence of two to eight taps and enter it anywhere on the screen in any size, with the display on or off. This offers a greater security and convenience to the users.
