Everyone who wants to advertise their business on Facebook is in luck! Today, Facebook begins launching a new campaign structure which will help advertisers manage their ads in a more efficient way. The new advertising option will be made fully available by the end of this month.
Facebook's campaign structure has had a two-level arrangement so far: campaigns and ads. The new campaign, though, consists of three levels: campaigns, ad sets and ads. Campaigns can have several ad sets, which can include multiple ads in and of themselves.
According to Facebook, this campaign structure will assist businesses in organizing their ad campaigns, which have been unclear and chaotic until now. The new structure will also help businesses control their budget, but also measure response.
Firstly, businesses determine their advertising objectives, like driving traffic to the business's website, increasing brand awareness, or promoting weekly offers, and create advertising campaigns for each goal.
Then, ad sets are created for each objective, in order to reach a certain audience, along with creating a budget and a schedule.
Lastly, businesses build ads for each ad set. The ads can be multiple inside each ad set, but targeted specifically towards the same audience. They could feature images, videos, text, or links. According to the response from the audience to each ad, businesses can optimize their campaigns.
The new advertising option by Facebook will be available across Ads Create Tool, Power Editor, and Ads Manager. When an ad account is affected by the new campaign update, all old campaign data will be transferred to the new structure. Businesses can still build their campaigns without having to wait for the account switch.
