Discover Your Mojo With These Simple Steps

“Mojo” is a word that may make you think of hippie culture or perhaps the Austin Powers movies! However, it is defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary as follows:

“A power that may seem magical and that allows someone to be very effective, successful, etc.”

With that in mind, would you say that you’ve discovered your mojo? If not, maybe you could improve your life by doing so? Here are a few strategies to help you:

Work out what you really want to do

Are you spending plenty of time doing things that inspire you and things that you love? If not, it may be that you’ve become ground down by your daily existence and that you haven’t taken the time to stand back and think about what your true passions are.

You will only manage to direct your actions appropriately if you truly know what you are aiming for.

Incorporate your passions in your daily life

Your individual financial or life situation may not permit you to dedicate your whole life to your passions but that doesn’t mean you can’t take small steps to incorporate them into your routines.

If, for example, you aspire to read all of Shakespeare’s works, why not download them to your phone or tablet and read them on your commute instead of the depressing morning paper? Similarly, if you want to create music, why not spend time doing so in the evenings instead of slumping down in front of mind-numbing TV shows?

Ditch your bad habits

Have you allowed yourself to get stuck in a rut? Does every week feel the same? If so, you need to ditch your daily habits and start working towards the goals that are truly important to you.

As athlete Vince Lombardi said, “The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.”
