At the top of the list of things you can make in your garage: MMA Championship Belts

The Championship belt is a large, lavishly designed belt that is used to signify champions in the same manner as a cup or a trophy. Dave Millican has been manufactoring championship belts for wrestling, boxing and MMA titles for years.

 

While the wrestling matches and the belts themselves are all glitz and spectacle, the production process is less glamorous: Millican produces them in his garage workshop in rural Alabama. He made his first belt out of cardboard at age 13. 30 years later, he is still making belts for various wrestling companies and organizations, producing 60-70 per year.
