All You Need To Know About "Titanfall"

If you love robots and online gaming, then you should take a closer look at Titanfall.

What is Titanfall?

Titanfall is the first game to come out from Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Call of Duty, a computer game that simulates the warfare of the Second World War. Titanfall is available exclusively on Microsoft's next generation gaming unit, Xbox One, but also on the Xbox 360 and PC. This first-person-shooter video game is an aggressive online multiplayer gaming experience. Titanfall is a lot like Call of Duty, only with giant robotic creatures.

Where to Play it

Titanfall centres on an online multiplayer layout, which means that, each time you play, you are up against a group of other players worldwide.

How to Play It

The action takes place in a sci-fi universe, where two conflicting groups are constantly tossed in a battle using super-cool weapons. In this futuristic battlefield setting, 'soldiers' or 'pilots,' play against 'titans.' Titanfall allows you to switch between fighting as both pilots and titans. You start out playing as a human, but soon enough you can summon a titan, switch your role, and continue to fire your arms and kill your opponents.

Advantages

  • In case you die, you can get back in the game in a matter of seconds. If you think your titan will blow up, you simply press the eject button to hop out of the robot

  • Hopping in and out of the robot proves to be useful, as when you are a robot you are easily targeted and you can't really hide anywhere

  • Being a pilot is fun as well, as you can go places a titan can't, and easily jump on top of one and kill him

  • You can progress without difficulty in Titanfall, and once you advance to the next level, you get some pretty neat features like 'burn cards' that give, for example, faster speeds for running

  • Titanfall has many game modes like the 'Last Titan Standing'

Disadvantages

  • No single-player mode

  • Each multiple mission is a regular match with undeveloped story aspects

  • If your Internet is slow or goes down, you can't play

Why You Should Love It

Even though these impressive titan robots are the true focus of the game, Titanfall makes you feel extremely comfortable and good. Human movements are at high-speed and smooth, while the titan motions are energetic and frisky. Jumping around also proves to be fun and enjoyable. Hopping through window sills feels effortless with the controls.

Even if you suck at this game you'll still love it, because being a Titanfall shooter makes a gamer feel supernatural, tough and intimidating--even if your game ends up being short.
