In the “Man of Steel” sequel, where, rumour has it, there will be lots of Batman and Superman fights, Ben Affleck is cast as the new Batman. The internet immediately went bonkers, and Ben Affleck became the laughing stock of the Bat-fans. Well, to all such fans – here are ten reasons we believe Ben Affleck is the perfect Batman.
Now, the “Dark Knight” trilogy is amazing, but all good things come to an end. Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Robin did their best in the final part of the trilogy. The “Batman” has to move on, and Ben Affleck is the new guy for the job.
If we put aside the failures of “Gigli,” or “Jersey Girl,” Ben Affleck has proven his good acting performance in “Hollywoodland,” but he has done well also behind the camera, as in “The Town” and “Argo.”
One thing that Affleck has that fits Wayne's character like a glove is the cockiness--especially when he has to attend fancy parties and display extravagant behaviour. If you think Affleck can't pull that off, better think again.
I don't mean to sound disrespectful, or anything, here, but come on, the Batsuit packs all the goodies you need to fight street crime, or any meanie that wants to set the world on fire. And, Ben Affleck will do a lot of standing around in his suit, looking frightening, and growling – yes, Affleck can do all of that.
We just love to hate, don't we? When Michael Keaton was cast for the Batman and Heath Ledger for The Joker, people went bananas too. But, they turned out to be brilliant. Why, you may ask? Because of a thing called “acting.” So, have faith, everyone.
Ben Affleck can step up his superhero game. Even though his acting in “Daredevil” wasn't accepted well in 2003, Affleck could improve his superhero performance as Batman.
Ben Affleck can get a superhero body anatomy any time--just like he did in “The Town” in 2010.
Even though the Bat costume looks so much bigger, Affleck looks quite handsome in it. Little ears, big muscles, veins popping up on the skin: what's not to like?
