New Interactive Music App from Electronic Wizards Brian Eno and Karl Hyde Enhances Listening Pleasure
APP REVIEW

Some collaborations are matches made in heaven. Based upon mutual respect, empathy,  and a desire to innovate and break new musical ground, the joining of electronic masterminds and visionaries, Brian Eno and Underworld's Karl Hyde, is one of those wondrous unions that results in music of the highest order. “Someday World,” released this May, sprinkled with some of the finest sound delicacies and achievements in music today, looking boldly ahead rather than recycling past successes from their illustrious careers.

The partnership proved to be so fruitful that on the 27th of June they released another record “High Life,” further exploring vistas that nobody previously bothered with or even envisioned. Obviously, they decided to strike while the iron was hot. In order to further promote the new record, and in line with Brian Eno's reputation as a Renaissance man and his multidisciplinary  artistic adventures, the duo released a free app that will further promote and, more importantly, enhance the listening experience. This app uses iPads that, when directed at the vinyl record,  will show various shapes of crystallites appearing and disappearing on the screen as the record turns.

Eno is known for his groundbreaking work in various domains  that has enhanced and expanded the definition of what an artist should be, what can be called music, and how artists can enrich listeners’ experiences. This application is one of those creations that will surely make this music sound like no other.
